Tickets and visas
Tickets
Not on sale yet (October 2026)
FIFA has announced neither the dates nor the terms of sale. When ticketing opens, buy only on FIFA's official platform: a ticket offered elsewhere before sales open comes with no guarantee. In May 2026, FIFA said it would review its ticketing policy for 2030, after criticism of 2026 prices.
Visas and entry to Morocco
Depending on your nationality, you enter Morocco visa-free, with an electronic visa (e-Visa) or with a visa issued by a consulate. Check your situation on the official Accès Maroc portal or with the Moroccan consulate in your country of residence, several weeks before you leave. For matches in Spain or Portugal, Schengen area rules apply.

Accommodation: where and when to book
The match schedule is not published yet: choose bookings with free cancellation and wait for the official schedule before fixing your nights. Pick a neighbourhood near the station or easy to reach by taxi; each host-city panel on this page shows where to stay. Book on a well-known platform or directly with the property, and be wary of listings that ask for a bank transfer outside the platform.
Money and payments
The currency is the Moroccan dirham (MAD), obtained locally: licensed exchange offices, banks or cash machines. Cards are accepted in hotels and modern shops; souks, taxis and small places work in cash. Keep your exchange receipts to convert leftover dirhams when you leave.
Phone and internet
Maroc Telecom, Orange and inwi sell prepaid SIM cards; your passport is required to buy one. Data top-ups are sold in grocery shops and kiosks, and several providers offer eSIMs to activate before you leave. 4G coverage is good in cities.
Accessibility and specific needs
We have not yet found official information on stadium and service accessibility for 2030: this section will be completed once it is published. In the medinas, narrow lanes, steps and cobbles often make wheelchair travel difficult: check access before booking, or choose accommodation outside the medina. Tell your accommodation and carrier about your needs when you book.
The heat in June and July
On the coast
Rabat, Casablanca and Agadir stay mild and are rarely very hot. Tangier enjoys pleasant evenings, but the easterly wind can blow hard on some summer days.
Inland
In July, Marrakech and Fes often exceed 38 °C, with peaks above 45 °C. Keep sightseeing for the morning and evening, drink often and protect yourself from the sun, at the stadium as in town.

Frequently asked questions
When are the matches in Morocco?
According to the provisional schedule, the first matches in Morocco, Spain and Portugal are on 13 and 14 June 2030, and the final on 21 July 2030. FIFA has not yet published the full schedule or how matches are split between stadiums.
Where will the final be played?
It has not been decided. The Hassan II Grand Stadium, under construction near Casablanca, and the Santiago Bernabéu stadium in Madrid are cited as candidates. In September 2026, FIFA denied that a choice had already been made.
How many teams will take part?
The current format has 48 teams, as in 2026. A proposal to move to 64 teams, backed by CONMEBOL, will be examined by FIFA committees after the 2026 edition, according to Gianni Infantino (July 2026): no decision has been made.
When and where can I buy tickets?
Sales have not opened and their dates have not been announced. Follow FIFA's official website and buy nowhere else: offers circulating before sales open are not reliable.
Can I follow my team between Morocco, Spain and Portugal?
Yes, if you plan ahead: ferries between Tangier and Spain (Tarifa, Algeciras), flights between the three countries. Check each country's entry rules, especially the Schengen visa for Spain and Portugal if your nationality requires one.
What time zone is Morocco in?
Since 20 September 2026, Morocco has been on GMT (UTC+0). If Europe keeps summer time, Spain will be two hours ahead and Portugal one hour ahead during the tournament: check the local time of each match.
Should I book accommodation now?
As the match schedule is not known yet, favour bookings with free cancellation. Choose a neighbourhood well connected to the station and the stadium: our city guides describe where to stay.
