High Atlas, Rif and valleys: walking in Morocco
© M. Ed.
Morocco is a mountain country: the High Atlas peaks at 4,167 metres on Toubkal, the Rif towers over the Mediterranean and the Middle Atlas has cedar forests. Hikes range from half a day between villages to multi-day ascents.
With or without a guide
An accredited guide is mandatory for Toubkal and recommended anywhere off the busiest trails.
