Best time to visit Morocco

Season by season, region by region: pick the right time for your trip.

Spring, the ideal season

From March to May temperatures are pleasant everywhere: imperial cities, the Atlas in bloom and a bearable desert. It is also the busiest season.

Summer: favour the coast and the north

In July-August, Marrakech, Fes and the Sahara often exceed 40°C. Essaouira, Tangier, Chefchaouen and the Atlantic coast stay pleasant.

Autumn, the second best season

September to November: soft light, still-warm sea, ideal desert conditions in October.

Winter: sunshine and cold nights

Agadir is mild and Marrakech sunny by day. The desert and the Atlas are very cold at night, and the Tichka pass can see snow.

Ramadan

Its dates change every year. Travel remains entirely possible: opening hours adapt, and evenings after the fast is broken are very lively.
