How to travel between Moroccan cities
Train, high-speed rail, bus, shared taxi, car: the right transport for every route.
ONCF trains
The network links Tangier, Rabat, Casablanca, Fes, Meknes, Marrakech and Oujda. Al Boraq, the high-speed train, puts Tangier just over two hours from Casablanca. Tickets on the ONCF website or app.
Buses
CTM and Supratours serve cities without trains: Chefchaouen, Essaouira, Agadir, Ouarzazate, Merzouga. Comfortable and punctual.
Taxis
Petits taxis in town (metered), shared grand taxis between nearby towns at a fixed price per seat.
Driving
Ideal for the south and mountain roads. Motorways are good; take care at night and on mountain roads. Speed checks are frequent.
