Imsouane

A fishing village and one of Morocco's longest waves, between Agadir and Essaouira

Imsouane is a small fishing port on a headland, about an hour and a half north of Agadir. Its bay holds a very long, regular right-hand wave, known to surfers worldwide and ideal for learning or longboarding. The village has changed a lot: in early 2024, many seafront buildings, particularly in the Cathedral area, were demolished by the authorities. The waves are still there and some places to stay remain open, but check recent reviews before booking.
