Taghazout
Morocco's reference surf village
© Aleksander Stypczynski / Unsplash
About twenty kilometres north of Agadir, Taghazout has become the country's main surf village. The rocky points along this coast produce long, consistent waves from October to April, with advanced spots such as Anchor Point and sandy beaches for beginners. The village is still small and relaxed; just south, the Taghazout Bay resort offers more upmarket hotels.

Tips
- Choose a school that matches your real level; the point breaks are not for beginners.
- A wetsuit is useful all year: the water stays cool.
