How we calculate
Durations are estimates: the site does not yet use a routing service. Click "See the route" for the exact trip.
- Road distance ≈ straight-line distance × 1.3; average speed 70 km/h including breaks (longer by public transport).
- Towns linked by motorway: distance measured along the motorway network, at 95 km/h on average. Mountains: factor 1.6 and 55 km/h (Atlas and Rif roads). Desert: factor 1.45 and 60 km/h. Remote places (Ouzoud, Bin el Ouidane, Imilchil, Aït Bouguemez, Tinghir): the trip to a gateway town (Beni Mellal, Marrakech, Demnate, Ouarzazate, Merzouga), plus the published duration of the mountain road. Journeys between the six World Cup host cities (Tangier, Rabat, Casablanca, Fes, Marrakech, Agadir), Beni Mellal–Khenifra, Beni Mellal–Demnate, Fes–Ifrane and Meknes–Ifrane: distances and times published by route planners (himmera.com, rome2rio.com…), without breaks or traffic.
- Car: ≈ 0.85 MAD/km of fuel, shared by 4 people per car. Tolls not included.
- Train, coach or grand taxi: ≈ 0.5 MAD/km per person, plus 50 MAD a day for local transport.
- Stay: each destination's indicative daily budget (double-room basis), split into 45% accommodation, 35% meals and 20% activities.
- Assumptions reviewed in 2026-10. Real prices vary with the season and your choices.
- Dakhla and Laayoune are often reached by plane from the north: these flights are not calculated here.
