The Atlantic coast
Cities, heritage, surf and open spaces, from Tangier to Dakhla

The Atlantic borders Morocco for more than 2,000 kilometres. In the north, the coast links the major cities: Rabat, Casablanca and El Jadida. In the centre, Essaouira, Taghazout and Agadir combine heritage, surf and beach holidays. Further south, Laayoune and Dakhla open onto landscapes where the desert meets the ocean.
Who it suits
Travellers who like seafood, wind and human-scale towns; surfers from October to April; families looking for winter sun in Agadir.
